Ontario Great Lakes Senior's Rally Report
Almost 400 seniors gather for the rally

Our annual Rally was once again held at the big Greek, Hellenic Community Centre in London. This year we had hoped to run two, back to back rallies, with plans to bus our Jubilee Brass Seniors’ Band to Camp Newport for Friday night, and then present the Rally with our special guests again in North Bay, on Saturday morning. Although registration from the north was slow, we were excited about sharing the word when the venue we had booked in North Bay had to cancel us right at the last minute, and so, disappointed, a decision was made to try again next year.
Our guests this year, were Envoys Douglas & Helene Kornwolf, the Eastern USA Territorial Evangelists and Illusionists. What can I say... they were AWESOME... AMAZING...and they delivered a simple, unique, clear cut, direct path to Jesus Christ to a room full of almost 400 seniors on Friday, October 9, 2009. Lots of 'razzle-dazzle' and showmanship was overshadowed by a sincere and humble message that comes from their hearts of love, and a commitment to serve and follow their Lord and Saviour. Rave reviews are what I received!
Our Seniors’ Band, Jubilee Brass has had an exciting year as well, filled with many engagements throughout the division and invitations across the border. We held a big social dinner, and fund-raising evening on Saturday, October 3rd at the Woodstock Corps. A bake sale and ticket sales for the concert with special guest trumpeter, Paul Stevenson, proved to be a worthy evening, financially for the band, and spiritually uplifting and invigorating for those in the audience. The band’s website has proven to be a great medium for getting information out and entertaining readers’ with band news.
