Friday February 25th marks the beginning of the first weekend prayer event focus for children and youth. All across the Canada and Bermuda Territory children, youth and youth leaders will be engaging children and youth in PRAYER for children's justice issues worldwide.
THQ kicked off the weekend at Thursday prayers, dedicating the time to praying for children's justice issues. A 30 minute powerpoint presentation,
Pray For The Children
, was created for this chapel and can be downloaded from
www.MinistryHelps.ca
for use at other locations. The presentation includes 4 slides with prayer focuses on Child Slavery, Child Poverty, Child Hunger, Child Trafficking. Each slide is to display for 4 - 6 minutes to provide opportunity for silent or corporate prayer.
Background music can be added to the presentation for each slide, or use your own musicians to provide quiet selections. The last slide contains a 4 minute video clip to conclude with. At THQ we specifically requested four individuals to pray, one at the end of each segment, referencing the specific concerns of that segment. Please note that the presentation is recommended for adults, as some of the graphics may be disturbing to children.
A wide variety of events will be taking place including prayer walks, prayer station events, retreats, full nights of prayer, worship services and more. To see the latest events and to see 'who is praying when' visit
