Here in the eastern Ontario City of Cornwall, we have distributed the Seek God for the City book to many Church and community leaders as well as to each family in our congregation.

I have had meetings with the Mayor, Fire Chief, Police Chief and gave each of them a copy. The Chief of Police is a church going evangelical Christian and is very encouraged to realize that many Christians in Cornwall will be engaged in focused prayer during the next few weeks. He will also distribute copies to members of the Police Force.

The Cornwall Area Christian Council (CACC) is made up of 22 clergy from the more liturgical persuasion (both Catholic and Protestant) and meets monthly. At this month's meeting, I was guest speaker and as part of our worship time I used this book. Each clergy there said they would encourage their congregations to engage in prayer for the City following this outline.

The Evangelical Fellowship of Cornwall and Area (CFCA) is a group of 18 clergy/pastors and there too, we have introduced the booklet and are assured that congregational prayer will be encouraged.

We all are praying for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit in the City of Cornwall, particularly in light of the Public Inquiry final Report for the Sexual Abuse involving some of the Church and [previous] Community leaders, which has had such a negative impact on our people.

The Lord is at Work here and we covet the prayers of many; that our City will receive healing and that many will turn to Him as a result of these prayers.
