Stu Bear Goes On A Mission

Stu Bear Goes on a Mission Visit!
Storybook, by Heather Chappel, Presbyterian Church in Canada, 2001.
The Stu Bear program is designed to help children explore the meaning of Christian discipleship. The children learn the basics of saying "thank you" to God in prayer, the value of money, giving in public worship, and taking care of themselves and creation.
Stu Bear had a new adventure. This time it's an adventure to Canada. Many churches in Canada and the United States use the Stu Bear materials as part of their children's stewardship program and this new book will help expand that program. www.pcusa.org/stewardship/children.htm

The Generosity Factorlarger view The Generosity Factor: Discover the Joy of Giving Your Time, Talent and Treasure
By Ken Blanchard and S. Truett Cathy, Zondervan, 2002, ISBN: 0310246601

This book is quite short, yet extremely inspiring. The authors stir the imagination with a story about what one person can teach another and how a mentor can add untold value to your life. Are you ready to be inspired to change and influence others in a meaningful way? Then read this book and benefit from what others have proved to be true, namely that deciding to be generous with time, talent, treasure and touch is profound.
We all have time, talent, treasure and touch to give and “Every day we can find countless ways - great and small, to make someone’s life better.”
Read this book. Let the characters in it, and the God they serve, help you discover all the ways there are to give. As one character muses, “Jesus taught that real generosity isn’t carefully calculated, and it isn’t done for show. If it’s genuine, it comes from the heart.”
This book keeps its secrets until the end, but they’re worth waiting for. You’ll discover that if you decide to live them out, they will change not only your life, but the lives of those you invest in.
