VIDEO MEMORIES ~ Share family memories via make-your-own videos! Help children write questions for each adults about their childhood, both specific and general questions, such as: What was your favorite stuffed animal? What was the name of your favorite doll? What TV shows did you watch as a kid? What was your favorite kind of birthday cake? Where did you go on vacation? What did you do with your grandparents when they visited you?
Set up a camera tripod at a pre-selected spot in your home and have children sit with the adults being interviewed and ask their questions. If children are very young, Mom or Dad might need to ask the questions from off-camera -- but don't worry if the kids go "off script" and ask new questions as the adults tell their stories. When all the adults have been interviewed, rewind the tape and watch it together. Consider making copies (on either video or DVD) as well -- these make great gifts for holidays, anniversaries and birthdays.read more...

It’s clear that God intended us to get this message, as it relates to money, since references to it are second only to love in the Bible (over 2,300 verses), and 2/3rds of Jesus’ parables are about money. [insert “read more” here]
In teaching about stewardship, Larry Burkett (the late founder of Crown Financial Ministries) says that how we manage our money is an external indicator of what you believe about who you are in Christ. He goes so far as to say, “As a steward of God’s money, I don’t have the right to spend everything that comes into my possession.” read more...
